Please inform us ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Volunteer Hours Parent volunteers are a great asset to the classroom dynamic. The children and I invite you to come to the school to volunteer your time and
talents. We will value you as a volunteer, and appreciate your dedication to the children as a supportive helper, role model, and guide. Parents need to volunteer 30 hours in the school year. Communication is Key! Communication is an important part of the success of your child. We will post weekly updates each and every week on our class page. Planner Students are required to purchase a planner. Please make sure your child takes their planner home everyday and brings it back to school on a daily basis. Homework All spelling and writing homework must be completed in the composition notebook and placed inside the blue folder along with Math homework page. Homework will be given and checked daily. Spelling words can be found in your childs agenda and Math Homework pages will be sent home with your child. In addition, to the Reading Log that must be filled
out every night. Homework will be graded. Money Procedures Please make sure that all money is placed in an envelope with your childs name and what the money is for. Free and Reduced Lunch-applications will be available in your childs first day packet of information. Behavior System Every student has a clothespin with their number on it. The clothespins are clipped on the right or left side of the chart. Students start their day on green. They move down the chart throughout the day depending on their behavior. Also there will be a compliment class system. Every time an adult says something nice about the class a pin will move up on the WOW chart. Once the pin reaches the top the class will have a party!!
