Methods of Mixture Separation 1) Mechanical Separation (often by hand) takes advantage of physical properties such as color and shape. Example: Recycling Plastic, Paper, Metal Methods of Mixture Separation 2) Magnetic Separation takes advantage of the physical property of magnetism.
