THE STUDENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO GIVE TWO ORAL PRESENTATIONS DURING THE CLASS ACCORDING TO THE SCHEDULE ONE WILL BE A PROPOSAL AND THE SECOND WILL BE A DESIGN REVIEW THEY WILL BE ON THE INDIVIDUAL PROJECT CONTINUING THE STUDENT WILL ALSO HAVE TO WRITE VARIOUS PAPERS AND ABSTRACTS AGAIN ACCORDING TO THE SCHEDULE FOR THE DESIGN REVIEW THE STUDENT MUST HAVE COMPLETED AND BE ABLE TO

PRESENT A PORTION OF THEIR CIRCUIT ON THE INDIVIDUAL PROJECT CONTINUING AS PART OF THE CONTINUING EDUCATION PORTION OF THE ABET REQUIREMENT THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO FIND AND READ THREE PAPERS AND WRITE AN ABSTRACT WHICH WILL BE TURNED IN AS PER THE SCHEDULE AND FINALLY ON THE DAY THEY PRESENT THE PROJECT(BOTH GROUP AND

ECE493 GRADING SYSTEM POINTS ITEM(All items below are required elements) 5 Articles for continued ed(all articles in with passing marks)

15 Design Notebook(Required)worth loss of one letter grade 35 Final Report(Required)worth loss of one letter grade 50 Project Demonstration(Required)worth loss of one letter grade 105 TOTAL In both courses the project must work as specified, otherwise: ECE492 will lead to an RP which must be completed within TWO semesters. ECE493 will lead to a F or Fail grade which means you may have a new group and/or a new project. Note that the emphasis is on the successful completion of the project which is worth 30% in ECE492 and 47.6% in ECE493. Grading criteria for the written and oral reports will be based on style, format,

clarity and completeness of presentation. Again, to emphasize, no handwritten or hand-drawn diagrams will be accepted on any report--all portions will be wordprocessed or typewritten. All schematics and diagrams will be drawn by CAD or a presentation package. FACULTY SPONSORED PROJECTS EVERY SEMESTER THE FACULTY IN CHARGE OF THE PROJECT WILL ISSUE A GRADE FOR YOUR WORK. THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE GRADES ARE AN A OR B ANY OTHER GRADE SHALL BE CONSIDERED F(FAIL) AND YOU WILL START OVER IN ECE 492 FOR THIS CLASS YOU MUST HAVE A

FACULTY SPONSOR OR OTHER END OF GRADING IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THE INDIVIDUAL PROJECT BY THE END OF 492 YOU WILL RECEIVE A RP FOR A GRADE. IT ALLOWS YOU TO SIGN UP FOR 493 WITH NO PENALTY AND WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE INDIVIDUAL PROJECT THE GRADE WILL BE CHANGED CONTINUE END OF GRADING 1.THE GROUP PROJECT MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF THE 493 SEMESTER BY PARTICIPATION IN THE PAPER CONTEST AT THE

END OF 493. 2.THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE REQUIREMENT. 3.FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST WITH A COMPLETED PROJECT WILL RESULT IN STARTING OVER WITH A NEW GROUP PROJECT. 4.THE INDIVIDUAL PROJECT SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN APPROXIMATELY 3 SEMESTERS.
