The Sanger City Council iscomprised of a Mayor and five (5) CityCouncilmembers. This is accomplished by maintainingthe streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, street andtraffic signs, pavement markings, drainage, watermeters and meter reading, waterline andwastewater systems by repairing streets, water linerepair, cleaning sewer lines, mowing right-of-waysand street sign repair and replacement.Water Distribution: The Water Treatment UtilityTeam is responsible for providing safe drinkingwater to the citizens of Sanger. COMMUNITY OVERVIEW cont.Fire / EMS ServicesThe mission of the Sanger Fire Department (SFD) is toprotect the persons and property of the citizens ofSanger and the surrounding community by providingquality and innovative emergency services includingfire suppression, public education, emergencymedical services, and rescue. Fire Service Rating: ISO rating of 4 (in town) and 9(outside of our city limits) Firefighters:The SFD is a combinationdepartment staffed with 9 full-time, 18 part-time,and 1 volunteer firefighters. Equipment: The SFD responds from a singlestation with a fleet of 1 Engine, 1 Tanker/Pumper,1 Tanker, 2 Brush Trucks, 2 Command units and 2BLS Ambulances with MICU capabilities. Regional Cooperation: This region relies heavilyon mutual aid and automatic aid. These services include preventing, detecting,and investigating criminal activity, as well asmaintaining public safety. Police Services areprovided by the City of Sanger with highlights asfollows.
